Creating Your First Campaign

Follow these steps to create and send your first email campaign:

Step 1: Set Up Your Campaign

Go to Campaigns > Create Campaign. Enter your campaign name, subject line, and sender details.

Step 2: Design Your Email

Choose a template or start from scratch. Use our editor to customise your content. You can use merge tags like {{first_name}} to personalise your emails. Every Bush Telegraph template also starts with {{logo}} and {{company_name}}, which become the logo and company name from your Settings page, or nothing at all until you have added them. {{primary_color}} and {{secondary_color}} become the two brand colours from your Settings page (or the Bush Telegraph green and terracotta until you choose your own), so a template written with them is drawn in your colours.

Step 3: Choose Your Audience

Select which audience or segment should receive your campaign.

Step 4: Send or Schedule

Preview your email, send a test, then either send immediately or schedule for later.
